We can never change our future.

Love mind benders? In discussion of life and such the thought arrived, that one can never alter or change his future; Nothing is ever done in the future.

Deeds May Only Be Done In The Present.

Words, steps, deeds, thoughts; they all occur only in this moment. The only variable, is what my next will be.

Deeds Done Immediately Become A Part My Past.

My past is literally what is gone by; cannot be changed, altered, retracted.

Deeds Done Are Permanently Etched Into My Identity

Our deeds done become our experience; woven into our character and define our reputation.
Our reputation, what we think of ourselves, and what others think of us.

Think of a credit report. It is 100% based upon the deeds done, and are used to predict what my next deed will be. A reputation so to speak.

The Lesson

It is far more important to question, “What do I wish for my past to look like?” than to ponder the future;
What will add value to the museum that is my life;
What will be viewed with gratitude by myself and those who observe?

My purpose in these words, is not to instruct any on what they must do or should do; those are choices each makes and owns.

There are times when the light is shined on each of our lives. When asking for a date; applying of a job; applying for a loan; meeting a person for the first time; meeting the parents; proposing marriage; entering into a business agreement; and on and on. When each of these occur, every decision we have ever made, has become not a part of our “past” but a part of our right now.

Have you ever asked for a reference? Choosing a mechanic, doctor, employee; employer etc..?

For better or for worse, People look, People hear, and people make judgment.

History is so filled with people who ‘were’ loved, admired and even revered; and then discovery was made about an event, maybe decades ago that is so egregious that it completely changes how that one is viewed. Their realty may be completely transformed by this revelation. Other times people have been privately benevolent and not made it public; their persona was misconstrued until their good deeds became known at which time they went from being maybe marginalized to being embraced and thought to be some sort of hero.

If people lack information about ‘who we are’ they begin to make inquiries about our name, where from, what we do, who we know, all looking for clues about us, upon which they can decide. Some instances they require a lot of information; others not so much.

My Past Is Ever With Me, Informing My World;
BUT I CAN CHANGE MY PAST STARTING TODAY

If one is dissatisfied with how they are perceived in their world, they can then continue being who they are (aggregate of life choices) or make some subtle choices that will begin to alter the past. A person is known for their most recent deeds. Keeping that in mind, one can alter how he is perceived. It does take time, depending on who we currently are, but it is doable.

I could ramble on a lot more about this subject, but will leave this for now.
Best Wishes.
