I love easy. I adore easy. Finishing a task with the words: “That was easy” is something that is near and dear to my heart. Famous this writer is at looking for the easy way to the desired end.
Not alone in this mindset i am thinking. I wonder how many of us who truly desire to do well have scoured our known sources for “Three Easy Steps”; or “The Quick Guide” looking for a quick way to achieve our end goals.
Two Life Lessons:
First, most of the things in life that are desired are truly simple. for example:
Weight loss: Eat less food
Wealth: Consume Less, Get More
Relationships: Love and Be Loved
Good Grades: Study until you learn it
Lose Bad Habit: Stop or Start doing the thing.
So easy to lose sight of the simplicity of life. Share; say sorry; work hard; be truthful; and on and on go the simple idioms that direct us into health, wealth and wisdom. (Remember, “Early to Bed and Early to Rise”?)
Second Life Lesson:
Being simple does not mean that the thing is easy. Maintaining a healthy weight means managing your appetites, which simply (Simple) means, saying yes or no when prompted by your human to shove a tasty in the pie hole. If a review is done of the five areas where many people crave mastery, you will find both simplicity and struggle. Be cautious that you do not mistake difficulty with the wrong path. That path may be overgrown; steep or rocky, but the right path just the same.
Third Life Lesson:
Easy comes with mastery. Life never ever gets easier. A ten pound weight will always be a ten pound weight. If the lifter exercises and increases strength, then it will in comparison seem that it has gotten easier; no, the lifter has just gotten stronger.

As the simple go through life and get better at life, skills are developed, certain pieces of knowledge are gathered and stored, then comes mastery and what once was complicated is now done with ease. Easy comes after mastery. Be cautious. When we try to get easy before mastery there is often as shortcut that is fraught with peril. But that is for another installment.
Final Thought:
Life does not get easier, you get better; stronger from doing the thing.
When I began my mission to start this blog, my path was simple. Domain, hosting, blogging. With each of those steps came and is coming with a learning curve. Dozens of hours and errors in completing a simple few steps.
Today I am at an advanced beginner level. In an hours time I can set up a brand new blogging site! Easy? Now? Yes. Why? a level of mastery has been attained.
Read the following:
“Don’t wish it were easier, wish you were better.
Don’t wish for fewer problems, wish for more skills.
Don’t wish for less challenge, wish for more wisdom.”
— Jim Rohn
What great words from one who is on up ahead and has indeed finished his journey.
Simpe, not easy, but easier when you get better.
